Red iron
The brand name, Ikkanshi Tadatsuna, was born in Kyoto in Japan about 300 years ago. We moved the factory to Sakai city in Osaka in 1929 and founded Nagata Hamono. Our kitchen knives have been favored by many famous and popular chefs not only in Japan but also in other countries.

Many years of hand-forging experience have produced these knives of unparalleled quality. Mr. Yukihiko Nagata, owner of Nagata Hamono is the best artisan in the field of sharpening kitchen knives. He has sharpened the knives one by one with meticulous care.

Most of our knives are handmade, so mass production is impossible. However, we assure you the best and perfect quality which a machine can never produce.
